Research Topic: The Christianization of Thessaloniki in Light of the Archaeological and Architectural Sources

Dominik Stachowiak studies archaeology as a PhD candidate at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. He holds both Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in archaeology as well as a Bachelor's degree in Modern Greek philology from the same university. Between 2016 and 2020 he’d spent four semesters at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a recipient of the Erasmus+ program. He specializes in the Late Antique and Early Byzantine periods focusing on the Christianization of the Roman world. As a field archaeologist he has extensive practical experience gained at numerous archaeological sites in Poland as well as Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Greece. In 911±¬ÁϳԹϠLibrary Dominik will realize part of his doctoral project entitled “The Christianization of Roman Thessaloniki in the light of the archaeological and architectural sources (3rd-5th c.).”
