Research Topic: Pictorial Narrative in Ancient Painting and Ekphrasis
Emily is a 4th year PhD candidate in the Classics department at Rutgers University, specializing in the iconography of violence, specifically violence in its relation to gender dynamics and when there is a reversal of gender roles. Her further research interests include ekphrasis and visual narrative. She has previously participated in the field project at Gabii.
