Paul Scotton is a Professor of Classical Archaeology and Classics at California State University Long Beach and the Co-Director of the Lechaion Harbor and Settlement Land Project. He has been working in Corinth since 1992 and has excavated at Mycenae, Gla, Pseira, Kalavassos, and Tuscany, as well as along the central California coast. His interests include Greek and Roman architecture, building technology, and urban planning and development. He is co-author, along with Catherine Vanderpool and Carolynn Roncaglia, of The Julian Basilica: Architecture, Sculpture, Epigraphy, volume XXII in the Corinth Excavations Series. His current project is a study of the Southeast Building in Corinth.
